Heart Talks to Ministers' Wives

Many books have been written on the aspect of the minister and the ministry, marriage and the family life but not so much on the subject of the ministers' wives apart from the qualities emphasized in the pastoral epistles of Paul. The need for this book arose in answer to the yearnings of some ministers' wives.
Sometime ago, as we were preparing for the ordination of some key ministers in the Church, a young wife of one of the candidates slated for ordination approached me on the need to provide the list of do's and don'ts for ministers' wives.
Initially, I considered her request as something ridiculous; but all things being the same, she seemed to be very sincere and anxious on the need to be well informed regarding what was expected of her as a minister's wife. Her gesture motivated me to reflect on the need to write a book of this nature.
As a matter of fact, so many ministers' wives have not taken time to discover the purpose of their being married to men who are called into ministry; neither have they seen the need to build up themselves and cultivate the necessary virtues and lifestyles befitting their position.
This book highlights on the qualities, priorities, relationships and responsibilities of a minister's wife. It will go a long way to inform, sensitize and motivate every minister's wife so as to become an asset and a catalyst to the life and ministry of their respective husbands.
