Homeostasis

Homeostasis refers to the constant pursuit of physiological sameness in all aspects of one's life. This can range from biological stability to simply having working lungs. For Dillon Falkner, however, Homeostasis took the form of his own older brother, Christian, and his relatively simple life with him at home. For Dillon, coming home from school and eating stale pizza before passing out on the couch until his brother gets home was something he tended to look forward to. Especially after their parents died just a couple of years ago, Chris and Dillon's relationship devolved into something more like roommates than actual siblings. Their parents' deaths created a kind of rift between them that only grew wider with every passing day. That is, until Chris mysteriously disappears one day while Dillon is at school.
