Have your students travel with Ichi to Mexico on a trip that includes themes of history, space, environmentalism, Mexican culture and Magic Realism. Ichi just graduated high school and before leaving for the university her parents are sending her and her best friend, Carmen, on a trip to Mexico. Ichi is excited to learn more about Mexican culture and history since her great-grandparents came from there. But, soon after arriving in Mexico, some mysterious events start to happen taking Ichi on a journey through Mexico and towards her future. This novella is written for upper level students of Spanish. It includes mostly high frequency words and many cognates but uses higher level grammar including various verbs moods and tenses.
