Tears of an African violet

DellaKae is Black Ice, and DaKari is Black Heart; they are the assassin killers. Trained assassins pray not to cross their path on the wrong side of business. Black Ice and Black Heart's reputation precedes them. The underbelly of the dark side is where they do their best work. Just like any good assassin, not even their families know what they do for a living.

Gio, DaKari's ex-husband, is a screw-up if there ever was one. He just knew he had it taken care of and always managed to not have it together at all. He has tangoed with the African Mafia, and they are out for blood. His blood. Gio manages to get DaKari wrapped up in his scheme, and now she is gone. Gio swears he doesn't know what happened; he's just as surprised as everyone else. So he says.

Kae's willing and able to burn Jewel City down to find out what happened to her wife. She's ready to kick the hinges off of the devil's front door.
