In this century, we in Africa are becoming all too familiar with the following challenges, among others:
- A corrupt political leadership in the backdrop of a global economic downturn.
- A people ravaged by the COVID 19 pandemic.
- A Church that is growing at a rate that outstrips the available resources.
- Changing priorities in the West and hence diminishing financial assistance to the Church in the developing world.
These problems that plague the church and community in Africa are the subject matter of
Mobilizing and Managing Resources. Illustrations drawn from the author's career with the World Vision in Kenya and his leadership of local organizations make the work contextualized and highly insightful. But Dr. Kiiru does not stop at the point of presenting challenges; he goes further to articulate well thought out solutions which are sure to give leaders a great opportunity to grow in competence.
Dr. Kiiru has been part time faculty of Azusa Pacific University, Daystar University, Pan Africa Christian University n currently teaching at the St Paul's University and Excecutive Director of Lenmac Research Institute.
Dr Kiiru has a Doctorate in Missiology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Masters of Commerce/Marketing from University of Strathclyde in Uk and finally a Masters in Communication and Christian Ministries from Wheaton College in USA.
