My Father's Wish: Attitude Is Everything

Mazi Ekenna is a good man, but he is very poor. Notwithstanding, he is consoled in the fact that God has blessed him with five lovely children who, he believes, will break the yoke of the generational poverty in his house. He asserts that, even in the worst scenario that all the children are not able to do well, at least, one of them will excel to make the family proud. Mazi Ekenna and his wife, Eliza, pray for their children to succeed, and also pray to be alive to see the good days of the children. Unfortunately, the patriarch dies before the children could grow up. But, Japheth, the third among the five children, disturbed by the extreme poverty in the family, could not live each day without thinking about his father's saying that, at least, one of his children must break the vicious circle. He now personalizes the father's assertion as "My father's wish," which eventually becomes his driving force, and a goal that must be accomplished. Confused by a life at a standstill, Japheth runs to church, where he learns that, for success or failure, attitude is everything. To the right attitude, success quickly answers, and Japheth is shot to prominence. Consequently, he becomes the change agent, by which the vicious circle in the family is turned into a virtuous circle, thus fulfilling his father's wish.
