A Dollar and a Dream: How an immigrant family from India came to America and turned a dream into reality

A dollar and a dream, well, more like 78 cents. I'll tell you about that later. This book is a short story about my parents dare to dream and how they turned a dream into a reality. My parents are my heroes', my rock, my motivation and my entire world. They are not perfect, as no humans are but this book will showcase their will to succeed and the trials and tribulations of their life. I believe it is worth sharing and if it impacts one person, then I have succeeded. I will outline their childhood and upbringing in the first few chapters then, their marriage, followed by their move to America. Along the way, I will share their secrets of success in raising a successful family. This book is dedicated to my parents without them I would not be the man I am today. I would also like to thank my family and friends thank you for being an inspiration to me and being such wonderful role models. People are greatest inspirations and all of you have shaped my life.Along with writing this short story, I have been energized by starting a foundation, Foundation for Random Acts of Kindness. The foundation is designed for a way to give back with a variety of purposes. Start a college savings account for a youth, help with an electric bill, and show people how to be self-sufficient these; are some of the ways this foundation will give back.
