Mocha Johnson sat on her cream-colored living room sofa. She was sick of listening to the awful nightly news. 2020 had been a terrible year for humanity.Mocha who was always a positive person felt depressed and isolated. It had been 365 days and four hours since the World Leaders declared a state of Emergency and ordered everyone into Nightly Quarantine.Mocha, like the rest of the world had celebrated last New Year's Eve with close friends and family at a party in Time Square. But how quickly times changed.The world had gone mad!2020 had brought wars, hunger, disease, earthquakes, fires, floods, food shortages, People became uncaring, violent, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure, There was wide spread looting, rioting, destruction, mass murders and rape, Discrimination, Terror attacks, Inequality, abuse of animals, climate changes, odd and unpredictable weather, plane crashes, stock market crashes, terror, and now the World Leaders had just announced that there was a illness that was causing people to be unfeeling and robotic like, the people would scream and shout. They would go wild in the Streets; they would pull at their hair and skin as though their own flesh was going to kill them. They would act animal -like. Spitting and cussing at others especially people in positions of authority, like the Police and Priests. These people would also attack for no reason. The whites of their eyes would become blood red. They would speak in strange, menacing voices and writhe on the floor like snakes. They had Suicidal Tendencies and would try to get others to commit it with them. They had abnormal strength. There was no cure for this illness. The World Government Leaders were calling it the 2020 Illness.People were very afraid. The entire world was banned from going out at night, because that is when the illness struck, in the darkness.Mocha like the rest of the world was baffled by this strange and terrible illness, that came out of China. The first reported case of this illness came out of Wuhan.A sixteen-year-old-boy by the name of Ming-tun was rushed to the Hospital by his worried parents. The boy who had always loved the Lord, started extubating strange behavior. At first Ming-tun started isolating himself during the day. The sunlight and any artificial light would make him incredibly angry. He would punch holes in the walls, cuss out his parents and teachers at School.Then his actions got even stranger, he would only go out at night, eat at night, bathe at night!Ming-tun started speaking in a deep, menacing voice. His parents could not understand what he was saying. His deep brown pupils changed to a black color and the whites of his eyes to a blood red.Ming-tun also started clawing at his skin and pulling out his hair.He would not walk anymore, instead he would crawl on the floor like a snake.The doctors were baffled. They locked him up, hoping to find a cure for his illness, but now over 1 million people around the world have caught the 2020 illness.Scientists around the world were working to find a cure.But a small, terrified group of people had different ideas about the people with the illness, including Mocha and her father Giovanni.
