When Dei the Wise promises his daughter's hand in marriage to Yesugei the Brave's eldest son Temujin, orphaned prince Jamukha sees his chances of marrying Borta slipping away. Desperate to win her back, he swears the blood bond with Temujin, hoping to steal Borta from him when they are camping together. But the spirits have their own plans for the new Mongol nation. Torn between his desire for Borta and his growing loyalty to his blood brother, Jamukha is helpless to resist when the wolf demands its terrible price.

Inspired by the 13th century 'Secret History of the Mongols', this final part of the legend is told in Jamukha's own words as he kneels before his blood brother and begs forgiveness for what he has done.
