Pride: Dethroning Its King

In the closing sentence of Job Chapter 41, God tells Job that Leviathan is king over all that is proud. Interestingly, the whole chapter is dedicated to Him describing the traits of Leviathan. These include his hard, stony heart, his stiff-neck, his inability to ask for mercy, him being a covenant breaker etc. What this should tell you is that anyone displaying similar character traits of pride are under his dominion; he is king over all that is proud. However, the enemy only comes to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). Unfortunately, pride goes before a fall and destruction (Proverbs 16:18). When you display any of these character traits, you give the enemy a legal ground to bring a case against you before the courts of heaven just like he did with Job. This book has been an eye opener. I don't think I've ever done as much confessing, repenting, and coming out of agreement with the enemy as I did while writing this book. I promise that you'll do the same. The Lord says: My people perish for a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Well, this book is bound to equip you with some knowledge. Go for it!
