Ted Vincent Mahaffey is a native of Laurens, South Carolina. After serving three years in the United States Army as an illustrator for the Army Security Agency, he began a career in commercial advertising. Ted later studied theology and graduated from Southeastern Baptist Seminary, Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Trinity Theological Seminary, Newberg, Indiana. He has served in pastorates, parachurch ministries and foreign missions. He served one year in Jamaica both preaching in churches and open air and sharing the gospel in schools. He and his wife, Shirley served a three-year term ministering in Belize, and three years at a mission on the Texas border with Mexico. He is a minister in the Highlands Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America, honorably retired. His hobbies include years of designing houses, woodworking, and drawing and producing Christ-centered publications. He and his wife currently make their home in Marion, North Carolina, and spend their summers in Valley City, North Dakota, Shirley's home area.
