A Devon Diary: A World War II Children's Adventure

Against the backdrop of the bombing of cities across the UK during World War II, three school friends, Bonnie, Althea, and Alicia, have an adventure involving the army, top-secret research, treachery and the lead scientist, Victor Frankenstein.

On the way, we meet the caring housekeeper, Mrs Smythe, a schoolmate, David Grant, and Bella-Boo, Bonnie's young Staffordshire Bull Terrier. From disappearing people and a low-flying bomber to secret rooms, all will be drawn into the mystery centred around Strappel Manor, an aging isolated house on the edge of Dartmoor.
