Abstract: The presentation explains a method for further optimizing software quality and software error prevention. The current measures, e.g. the quality of the requirements analysis as an important influence factor of error prevention / software quality, are not replaced but looked at in a networked way before they are applied. The basic of the networked way is the networking of important measures e.g. quality of requirement analysis, workload of the employees, leadership of the management, achieved process maturity level (CMMI or SPICE, ..) quality culture to get software quality. This allows us to recognize the priority of each individual measure by calculating the direct and indirect influence of the influence factors to software quality . The method/approach mainly focuses on the first three phases of the software development process: requirements analysis, specification, and design. The basis for the approach is networked thinking, which is supported by a software tool for the networking of the influencing factors and their analyses. See number [0], [4] of the references at the end of the presentation. The influencing factors are networked and their respective sum of direct and indirect influences on the target figure "software quality/error prevention" is calculated with the above mentioned software tool and depicted in a "results matrix".Contents of the presentation1.Motivation2.Basis3.Objectives4.Procedure5.Results6.Practical Information7.Conclusion & OutlookDue to the prioritized presentation of the relationship between the influencing factors in the results matrix, the need for action for optimizing the software quality/error prevention can be deduced. Top priority influencing factors like e.g. motivation of the employees must be given high priority in practice. The procedure of networked thinking proposed here can also be applied to many other areas of technology, medicine, biology, physics, urban planning, energy transition etc.
