The year is 2196, and the Earth has become uninhabitable. Concepts like faster-than-light-speed travel, warp drives, and wormholes are nothing but science fiction, so with no permanent place to go, the remnants of humanity exist among dozens of city-sized space stations orbiting Earth, the Moon, Venus, Mars, and the dwarf planet Ceres. Meet Angeline Edmund, long time boyfriend Isaac Kerensky, and their daughter Lillian, who are struggling to survive in a future overrun with poverty, disease, and rampant government corruption. The story begins with Isaac leaving jail after a nine-month stint. The reunion soon gets cut short when one of the corporations - with a financial stake in the station Angeline and her family are currently living on - initiates a violent takeover, causing the young family to be forcibly separated in the ensuing chaos. This story follows the rotating perspectives of both Angeline and Isaac as they do anything to not only survive, but also reunite and, most importantly, find their daughter.
