Insomnias: A compilation

Many of the vignettes in this collection are one-pagers. Short and sweet. Well . . . short. They have little or no filler. I do not like filler-the inclusion of useless trivia, wordy scene setups and lengthy 'She was wearing . . .' piffle found in a lot of contemporary writing. Incidentally, while writing this I am wearing a very stylish warmup ensemble, in heather grey with turquoise and vermillion accents (I scored at my local Goodwill), black wool-blend socks (my studio can get chilly in the night), and tan leather moccasins, from Wal-Mart. Oops! See what I mean? It is so easy to fall into that insidious trap. Most importantly, this collection of vignettes was written with tongue firmly in cheek. If you read them with that in mind, you will be fine. Several political pieces are rife with opinion. Whether you agree with them...or not...matters not a whit to me.
