The Flames of War

The scheme to gain control of the Kitsuragi Company and family fortune has failed miserably! Although Okajima was successful in blackmailing and acquiring Kitsuragi's daughter Megumi, very little else has gone his way. His friend and ally, Boss Chiba's attempt to blackmail Harada Akio's Afro-Japanese wife also failed miserably. And his pathetic attempt to disgrace Reina in revenge has only made things worse.

Now the greedy Okajima faces the combined might of both the Harada and Kitsuragi families in a disastrously costly corporate war. The allied families and their companies are determined to destroy Okajima at all cost and free Megumi. Boss Chiba faces quite another kind of adversary however, and he's waging real war.

James E. Dellroy, or 'Ezomo', Reina's African American uncle and his Asian allies, have entered the war like ravenous wolves. The Tokyo underworld, and indeed, the Yamakage gang's operations even outside of Japan are running rivers of blood. Now, with the police and press added to the mix, Okajima and Chiba are sorely pressed to get the genie back into the bottle. Attacked from without and within, the damage to reputations and livelihoods is severe. This conflict is causing too much attention and the other Yakuza Bosses are not happy. Okajima and his yakuza allies are now desperate to end the strife before they all burn.
