A Love Almost Lost

Sienna Jones moved to a new town with her mother after the fall-out of her father's affair. She was working at the Branson Street Coffee Shop when a local contractor, Jake White, walked in. Her mouth dropped open at the sight of him, and she lost all process of clear thinking. His black hair, curly around the edges, had made her want to reach up and feel it between her fingertips. His eyes, a startling blue, had pierced right through her soul. After an awkward introduction, they spoke for a couple of minutes, and then she handed him his coffee, and he left, not realizing how much the introduction had rattled her. As their innocent friendship blossoms, Sienna overhears two men speaking of murder. The incident at the river creates a bond between Sienna and Jake that neither can deny.
