Biblical Antidotes To Overcome Fears

Fear is an "unpleasant" emotion or anxious concerns formed from our anticipation or awareness of danger. It is said to be False Expressions Appearing Real (F.E.A.R).Fear is an instrument in the hands of the devil to put people under bondage, hence, fear has torment. When fear comes, minds are troubled, hence, dismay and anxiety sets in. Fear is directly opposite of faith and nullifies faith; that makes it dangerous because it reduces faith. For without faith it is impossible to please God. Currently, the world is faced with fears of Sicknesses, diseases, pandemic especially COVID 19 that is ranging now. Also, fear of death, fear of tomorrow, are prevalent in our society. Men and women live in fear, young and old also. No one is sure of tomorrow and what its holds. A lot of people struggle with anxiety disorders or phobias. Fears makes people to lose sense of Godliness and focus attention on mortal being and physical things. Once you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you are already delivered from the fear and punishment of sins through His death and resurrection. Hence, No more fear! The only fear that is good and encouraged is the fear of GOD. The fear of God inspired us to reverence Him, His power, and His love. But fear of the world, causes your mind and judgment to be clouded, leading you to make decisions that you wouldn't have made if you had a clear head about the situation. When you don't worry about what's ahead, but trust God for the outcome, His peace begins to fill your mind instead and that's when His blessings emerge. Fear can cripple and push the most composed people into states of utter discomfort and uncertainty, but God reminds people through His Word that there is nothing to fear. Even with death or failure, which are prevalent fears among born-again Christians (as well as of non-Christians) who believe in heaven and know that God loves them despite mistakes they make, Jesus can still remove those fears. So, why should we not fear? The Word of God provides antidotes against fear so that we can live healthy on a daily basis. Hence, the need for this book. We shall be looking through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and see the admonitions of God for His children on fear. Each Bible verse is for each day and when we routinely take this like a daily capsule, our faith will be boosted and we overcome the spirit of fear.
