Is your family expanding? Some children embrace a new baby, others are reluctant. I wrote the story to spotlight the important role of older children. It has always fascinate me that your birth order is likely to influence who you will become, determined, ambitious or even funny. There are no hard and fast rules on this, but my experience of being the oldest could be very frustrating. It's well know that the oldest children break around for the following siblings. Whether parents are aware, they often assign babysitting to the oldest without so much as a single word. As a result, who hasn't heard, "You're not the boss of me!"Of course, it's not all bad, there's a certain amount of perks that go with the title. Like being the first to use the stove, walk to school by yourself or wear lipstick. Even if your young sister get to wear it two months later. Ugh!And sometimes older siblings are in the best position at exactly the right moment to avert disaster. This is a true story of my young son and his little sister and how he saved his sister and our entire family.I hope that parents and grandparents can use this humorous story to show the important role they have and how much we appreciate all they do for their family.
