With Yonsei in fine voice, her narrator is Paige Turner and it's her raucous odyssey of career moves we follow as she reflects on her past whilst setting out on a road trip that will see her start afresh. That Yonsei knows so much about the legal world gives her novella a payload boost and the degree of authenticity it wouldn't have been so good without. With Paige possessing the insights you'd expect from someone in her profession this all makes for a rock-solid foundation but it's Paige's autobiographical stamp combined with Yonsei's razor-sharp wit that will keep you turning the pages.Lines like "My interpretation of QuickBooks was based on how fast I could book a flight on Expedia.com" will have you laughing out loud whilst others like "I had become conscious and aware enough to choose what I paid attention to and how I construct meaning from experience" will certainly give way to a good deal of reflection. Add more than a few raunchy encounters to the mix and what Yonsei leaves us with is a wild, imaginative and valuable read that's hard to put down.
