How I Found Me: Facing my darkness in order to experience my light

I walked up the stairs shaking from fear. As I sat on the bed, tears were pouring down my face. I spoke, "I know you have been here for a long time, but it is time for you to go. This is my house, and I want to be able to live here within being in fear." After talking to the spirit, I ran downstairs, scared out of my mind. I sat on the couch, and I started hearing noises coming from the stairs; this was it; whether I knew it or not, I was going to have to face my darkness. A little girl lost in a world of desire for love, affection and validation. When, as a child, you feel you are missing something, you will spend your entire life trying to find it. Unfortunately, you don't find what you are looking for most of the time, rather everything except that finds YOU! This story is about my life, the good, the bad and the ugly. It takes you through many of my trials and tribulations. I tried my hardest to be transparent and raw. There were many sections that I thought long and hard about leaving out, in fear of being judged. However, I've learned there's no worse judgment than that of your own. From moving to New Jersey and being rushed to the hospital to lay in a cold bed alone, to living with and having to have full-blown conversations with a Spirit, to being addicted to sex and confusing it with love, to at times, hating the way my body looked; this book will definitely make you question some things, and hopefully open you up to things you never imagined. I am sure that those who know me will totally look at me differently after reading this book, and honestly, that is my hope. I take you through my journey of finding myself and facing my darkness. Many of us are fighting daily from within, and we have no clue how to let go so that we can expose our light. It is with my sincere hope and desire that from reading my story and journey, you can take away some of the tools I used to help move you towards your peace.
