Born in mystery and orphaned within a day, Nicoleta couldn't help but wonder about her parents. Who was her father? She had two amazing fathers who adopted her, but where did her talents come from? Why was she blessed with extreme empathy? Where did her mother come from?

At her college graduation, Mike and Wayne give Nicoleta a DNA test kit and an envelope containing the police file of her mother's murder. Between job searching and submitting a sample for DNA sequencing, Nicoleta started her adult life.

She finds a job before she receives the results. But not before strange things began to happen around her. Soon, it became obvious her very life could be in jeopardy. But why? Maybe finding out her heritage wasn't so important after all.

James Woodruff is head of Security at the International Hospitality company where Nicoleta is hired. His job is to secure the team as they travel through Europe inspecting hotels recently added to the conglomerate. Nicoleta is intriguing, but she seems to have a difficult time following security procedures. Keeping her safe soon becomes a full time effort for the entire security team.
