Dreamer Awake: Embrace your joyful future

We all have dreams, and so we dream. Sometimes too much, because many times it's safer and sweeter than reality. However, our dreams can hold us captive...in false hope, false reality, when and if we can't see them coming true. These poetic expressions helped me when I was going through a most painful time in my life. If I couldn't write, I might have expired from the human race. Writing poetry kept me sane, kept me SAFE, kept me turning the wheels of life. I waited thirteen agonizing years for the man I loved to marry me, and when we finally made a wedding date, he did not turn up for the wedding! I lost my way for a while after that. I waited loyally in uncertainty for thirteen years, for my very first love to culminate in fulfilling joy, but the man in question was married and could not produce divorce papers to prove he was free. I had to pour out my soul on paper. A pen and blank paper were my therapists! Along with prayer and some gardening. Still are. So welcome to my head and my heart. Welcome to me.
