The world needs your input, and they cannot ignore the fact any longer the value you have to bring to the table. The purpose of this book LETTERS TO FUTURE BLACK MALE EDUCATORS is to provide insights into the importance of having more Black male educators and how their presence in the classroom is vital to help with changing the narrative of the current retention and graduation rate of Black male students. The book will simultaneously provide practical ideas that will help future educators to develop a lasting love for the profession. It's time to close the achievement gap. I believe recruiting and preparing Black males to be in the classroom will definitely provide a sense of identity and will also help the underserved, the students who are most at risk to make a critical connection to the value and importance of education. Having Black male educators in the classroom can be seen as role models, but what is most important is for the future Black male educators to realize is the value and reward in making the long-term commitment to serving the students in the classroom. Richard A. Cross shares with you what he has learned personally and has learned from some of the master EDUCATORS who have empowered and inspired him. This book will provide you with insights, guidelines, and help you to become aware of the mindset that you need to have upon entering the classroom. Besides, as a Black male educator or any educator as a matter of fact who wants to help liberate students of color need to enter the classroom with a strong sense of purpose.
