This proposed book is about my 12-month tour in the Vietnam War during 1969-1970. The book begins with my decision to enlist in the U.S. Army after college and covers events during my tour and eventual homecoming. Highlights include a number of close calls, a major battle, and some of the human consequences of war. Humor appears where appropriate. The draft manuscript has 22 chapters with a prologue and epilog. Only recently have I realized how much this war experience influenced the remainder of my life which is why I decided to write the book.
