There are twenty-five exercises in each of the eight key signatures used in this book. The right hand is strongly emphasized throughout - the first ten exercises in each key are for the right hand only, and the remaining exercises in each key utilize a simple left-hand accompaniment. The first twenty exercises in each key are within a single five-finger position, while the last five expand one note beyond a five-finger position for the right hand.Next, this book is intended to be used with the guidance of a teacher and is not to be considered a method book. However, a beginning student may be able to understand and navigate the exercises in this book without a teacher.
