This is the 2nd book in my Business Series. With dozens of years experience in effective staffing, this has become a passion. I will teach you how to write ads to attract prospective employees and advertise for the same. At times this can be a full time position by itself. Hiring and firing is something you look forward to or dread depending on the situation. Each time you hire someone, you are giving a time commitment to them and yourself. When you are in the wonderful position of hiring because of rapid growth, you will have effectively created new problems with training, managing, and retaining good employees. Unfortunately, there are times that you must move in a different direction as well. I have had to let people go for many reasons. Could be just not a good fit, downsizing, or the employee is lazy to your standard. Hiring is about finding the person for a position that you are in need of. This could be a service, skill, labor, or contracted work. I believe in finding people that bring something new and out of the box to any team I am assembling. As you read on we will talk about simple solutions and costly mistakes I have made. We all make mistakes. It is cheaper to learn from others who made mistakes than it is to learn them yourself. Mistakes will still be made, but hopefully this short read will allow you to make a few less while growing your business. I have hired and let go of employees in more than a dozen states, From Utah out west, to, Louisiana, Minnesota, and Missouri in the mid-west to Pennsylvania, Florida, Massachusetts and Maryland to name a few on the east coast.
