Heart Full of High Hopes

Many people struggle to overcome the hardships of life. For some, they seek to find their escape from reality through using cannabis which is gradually becoming more common in today's society. Growing up in the concrete jungle of Brooklyn, New York City, I've learned that the best teachers in life are empty pockets, failure and being heartbroken. In this collection of poems, these are the three foundational values which I have used as the theme of the book. All of these lessons are essential in appreciating life. When we undervalue these lessons is when we lose hope in life. It is through learning from our mistakes when we can find peace and happiness within ourselves; we cannot persevere if we do not have high hopes. All we are really given in life is time and we have to decide how we want to spend it. Even when our reality casts a dark shadow over our lives, we must always see the brighter side of life; even when it may be too dark for us to see. Find a light in every situation. This book aims to build an emotional connection with readers as they go through feeling of the highs and the lows of having high hopes. When you haven't smiled in a while, find something that will. Feel the different wave of emotions as you progress.
