Portrait of a marathon runner is a meditation on the juxtaposition of encounters, seen through the eyes of a not so young marathon runner, a flaneur and a dreamer. It is a contemplation about the joy of running marathons and the dire straits that undocumented refugees go through. The two seem to be in tension if not downright inconsistency with each other. But, reading between the lines, a type of convergence is discernible into the human condition as such.
