The Just Shall Live by Faith: Above All Taking the Shield of Faith

Faith is a subject that has been preached about for many years. It is clearly written about in the Holy Scriptures, yet there seem to be many Christians, followers of Jesus Christ and who love God, who have difficulty living by faith; yet, we use faith every day in our lives. Faith in things we may not understand as to how they work and may not be visible to our natural eye such as faith to turn a light switch on and expect light; faith that our car will run when we turn the ignition on and other similar things. It is my intent to look into the scriptures and see what they actually say about this important subject of faith and how we can truly live by faith and mature in faith. Let's look first at the scriptures that lay the ground work: 1. Hab 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. 2. Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 3. Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 4. Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man drawback, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.What is the difference in living by faith and living in any other way? Christian faith is placed in God, (Father, son-Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit). Without faith, we have no salvation. Without faith we have no Holy Spirit because all of this requires faith-faith in an unseen God. Faith is not something we use just when we want something, a new house or car, but for a Christian, it is our way of life. It is not a movement that happened once upon a time; it is the way the above scriptures say we are to live our entire life.
