If I dropped a pin today in the city of York, right at the heart of where was once considered sleepless; Where life bubbled and the Wall prospered, without effort, the echoes might sound like the end is near...I used to think the world could never take a break from its effortless efforts that put the life of the earth at stake.Somehow the feeling lingers as much as I doubt it; The earth too can purge after too much to eat..
..Now I have dumped my yearning for digits and balances; I am moved to honour a code to save lives and see smiles; I am touched by the wave that takes a soul from my grasps to the land of the spirits; I am worried that the very tools to help my trade would surely and indeed be my own doom. Now Mr. Jester, how is my smile?... This book is an inspiration of the author while he was on lock down during the Covid-19 global pandemic. Having the urge and conviction to pour his thoughts, about the pandemic and life in general, in black and white, he challenged himself to write 30 poems, one everyday from the 1st to the 30th of April, 2020. However, he succeeded in writing all of it on the 15th day with ease provided to him by the note pad on his Samsung Galaxy A20 phone.
The saw the efforts of the doctors and nurses, who put everyone else before themselves and their families as super humans whose efforts cannot be replaced. He juxtaposed our feeling of the world wide lock down to the feelings of those who were truly locked up as prisoners. He tore apart the politics that put incompetent persons in power. He also put together a collection of life experiences, both personal and those observed by him; using literal and figurative tools to send his message across to his readers.
The book touches on many aspects of life to which many of us can relate; It contains accolades, appreciations, happiness, sadness, warning to mention but a few. In essence, it is a delight for all level of readers.
