We Need To Know God: Deteriorating conditions in the world and the church plead for God to act. Rampant wickedness and lifeless religion had obliterated an accurate picture of God. God purposed from the foundation of the earth to give Himself to redeem mankind. Creation groaned waiting in pain for the anticipated act. As John might say it, "His hour had come." The hour arrived for God to come and walk among us. God incarnated joining Himself to humanity with ties that will never be broken. He lived among us showing us His heart. We had heard of a God of love, but in Jesus, we experience a God of love. A lost world asks, "What is God like?" He answers the question by walking among us. He didn't just tell us how much He loves us, He demonstrated it as He "became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth" (John 1:14). God incarnates to give us life!
