The Art of Art

Intriguing high action story of art forgeries and theft of Vincent van Gogh paintings many years ago. The forgeries have unknowingly been undetected while sitting in their place of honor in a world famous museum in Amsterdam. The story is based around a large cottage in Wiarton Ontario. The art restorer is hired to repair a few paintings and during his stay at the cottage, he falls in love with the good looking young cook. He is offered art restoration lessons to improve his skills by a well known art forger who has a devious plot in mind.He soon finds out while he is off in Columbia restoring art for the ex-president that his girlfriend was unfortunately in the way when an art thief stole Elsie Lofts' original van Gogh painting from her cottage. The ruthless forger murders in order to the obtain original van Gogh paintings, but is later identified, charged and roughly returned to Wiarton to face murder and theft charges. He squeals on the buyer of the art, in order to obtain a better deal. The art underworld deals with snitches in the harshest of terms.The art restorer buys the forger's house and discovers nine original Vincent van Gogh paintings in a secret hiding spot. He endeavors to have the originals proven authentic and returned to the museum, for a large price. of course. The art restorer and his current partner from Columbia are pursued by Columbian secret police, and they must find a way to escape before returning safely back home.
