I knew Nikki was the one from the first day I laid eyes on her. She has proven to be more than loyal to me. She has been by my side through everything and I love her for that. I was nervous about popping the question but I knew it was only right. She was pregnant with my baby and I wanted to make sure I was with her every step of the way. I was so happy that she said yes. Now it's time to plan our wedding and the arrival of our son. Well at least I hope it is a boy. 1 month laterI told Nikki it was still too soon to be returning to Atlanta but she insisted that she needed to see her mom. Against my better judgment I agreed to go back. I can't lie I was nervous about being back in Atlanta. I didn't know if Adrik had people looking for us. I definitely didn't want anything happening to Nikki being that she is big and pregnant. We pulled up to her mom's place. I was nervous about meeting her mama for the first time. She came outside to greet us. Nikki looked just like her mom it was crazy. Her mom was just an older version of her. She hugged Nikki, "Oh baby I have missed you so much." Nikki hugged her back " I have missed you too mama." She stepped back and looked in my direction. Who is this handsome man right here?" Nikki laughed "Mama this is Quintin. Quintin this is my mama MS. Theresa." I stepped back and stuck my hand out to shake her hand but she hugged me instead. "Boy we hug around here, you are family." I just smiled at her. "Well come on in I cooked all your favorites Nikki." She pushed us towards the door. Her house was so nice and neat and looked well kept. She led us to the kitchen where it looked like she cooked a feast. There was food everywhere. "Mama you didn't have to cook all of this for us." Nikki said. "Well I wanted to make sure there was enough for ya'll to take back with ya'll. I have to make sure my grandbaby eat good." She said while rubbing Nikki's belly. "Thank you, mama now let's eat we are hungry." Nikki said. We all sat down at the dining room table. "So baby how are you liking it in Texas? Why did ya'll move so far away." We looked at each other and I honestly didn't know what to say. Nikki spoke up "We just wanted to get away for awhile. Mama we plan on moving back before the baby is born." "Well good because you know I was going to be in the delivery room even if I had to fly to Texas." Nikki smiled "Mama you know I can't have this baby without you being there." She smiled at Nikki and then she looked at me "So Quintin what do you do for a living?" " I'm a lawyer. I own Verdes law firm." She smiled at me "I have heard about that law firm. One of my friends used ya'll and she had nothing but great things to say about ya'll." I blushed "Well I'm glad she enjoyed our services. I pride my company in professionalism and quality service." She touched my hand "Well you are doing a great job." Nikki held out her hand to show off her ring. She started screaming,"Omg ya'll are engaged. I can't wait until the wedding. The wedding will take place here in Atlanta right." "Well we haven't decided yet but wherever it is you will be there too mama." Nikki said ."I'm so happy for ya'll. I can't wait until the wedding and the birth of my grandchild." We all finished eating and talking. It was time for us to leave and she sent us home with enough food to feed us for months. We headed to the door. "Now ya'll don't be so long coming back to see me." Nikki kissed her on the cheek "We won't mama." She gave both of us a big hug and we hopped in the truck and drove off. "I might as well stop by the office to pick up those papers while we are here." "Ok bae we can do that." Nikki said. We headed to the firm. We pulled onto to Main street and "BOOM" a truck ran right into us. Nikki was knocked out cold. My head was killing me and the car was smoking. I saw someone pulling Nikki out the car. I rubbed my eyes and I couldn't believe who the fuck it was.
