Judy's Promise: A sixth-grader's search for belonging

Sixth-grader Gigi's life has turned topsy-turvy. Her family has moved across the country, her father is always busy, her brothers have gone off to college, and she has no friends in her new school.

To top it all, her mother, who has early-onset Alzheimer's, has gone missing.

This time, even her brilliant Math-brain cannot solve Gigi's problems.

When Gigi goes looking for her mother, she meets her scary new neighbor, Judy.

An unlikely friendship ensues, and Gigi learns that everything isn't always as it seems.
