TRAPPED IN THE PLANTATIONRushane Reid was born and raised by a single parent, who worked minimum-wage in the rural area of Jamaica. Sophia Donaldson fought hard to ensure her children had the best of life, despite the challenges as a single mother. At the age of twenty, Rushane decided to walk the journey as a police officer after not being able to attend college as his twin brother did. Having dreamt of being a Police Officer since his childhood, he went ahead and pursued a career in the Jamaica Constabulary Force.Unfortunately, what he assumed was his ideal career changed after his journey started. What he thought was a noble institution, one he would be respected to be part of, was much different than he had dreamed. Instead he encountered on all sides conflict and strife.
