In Scotland in the year 1745, a young highlander has forseen seen an elegant stranger disembarking on an unknown shoreline. Soon, rumours spread among his clan that The Prince has landed and a new rebellion is about to begin. His family continue to work on the croft and prepare themselves for the winter ahead, but when the tacksman rides through the glen with the fiery cross he demands a rent payment far greater than a share of their crops.
