Spirituality for the Non-Religious: How can I consciously live with myself

I know that the title of this book may be somewhat suggestive and disturbing, but I am sure that at least once in our life we have asked ourselves the question: am I happy as I am? It is possible that on some occasions we have meditated on this with thoughts such as I do not understand why I did that? Why did I say so? Why do I have these bad thoughts? Or why did I act that way? Sometimes in subtle ways, these kinds of thoughts come to us facing our reality and show us that we do not know who we are completely and why we act as we do.Why living with me can be a valid question? It is precisely the answer that we seek to find in this book. I once read that marriage was a daily choice that we could give up at any time; however, the choice to live with ourselves is inevitable. From what I thought, if we had the option to separate from us, would we? I am sure this question may be strange, but let me invite you to consider the possibility that we can have this option and that it will help us explore who we are and whether we can love ourselves deeply.This is not a book to get the best version of us because there is no such thing. You and I are extraordinary, just each day we decide to take the luggage that we think we got, losing the possibility of being authentic and experiencing our total potential. The process of self-knowing has not been a priority in what we have been taught. For this reason, although we have probably heard some concepts that we will discuss, I hope that we can have an open heart to learn, not from this book, but ourselves and our process. We can be our best teachers on this journey.
