Anessa the Bird is a story of family and friendship written by 10 year old author Mariah Wees from San Antonio, Texas.

Mariah was always creating interesting stories and her mom encouraged her to turn them into published books for others to enjoy.

This sent us on a journey to help other kids publish their own books.

Anessa the bird is Mariah's second book. Her first book "Candy the Circus Cat" was a short story picture book. After this book, Mariah was inspired to write her first chapter book.

Anessa is a happy bird in her nest until something terrible happens! What will she do? It might be a bad day, but Anessa is going to have great adventures!
