We enter this world confident that our lives will be safe and interesting, and that we will be able to develop in any way we want. Unfortunately, things don't always turn out that way and we often have no influence on what is happening. We might get so sick it is hard to enjoy life. We may be surrounded by irresponsible people that are unable to take care of themselves, let alone others. It happens that we meet people that would like to use us to achieve their goals. Birth is thus only the beginning and the rest of our lives are shaped by fate and the world around us.The protagonists of these stories are children and teenagers, young people whose lives have just begun. Those lives are tainted by illnesses, violence, sexual harassment and drugs. It is hard to take control of your life when you are so young and you are faced with such difficult obstacles. It is possible to survive those difficult times, though, as long as you are surrounded by Love and Hope. These can take you to your desired destination despite the difficulties.I worked as a volunteer for a charity that took care of disabled children for 25 years. I also worked with addicted people, who often came from families with domestic violence. The tales collected here have all been inspired by the stories of people I have met.The cover was designed by Aleksandra, an eight-year-old girl who is autistic. She is an unusually talented young painter - more information about her can be found at the end of the book. The paper version of the book contains eight of her paintings. Part of the proceedings of the book will be used for Aleksandra's rehabilitation.I hope you enjoy reading "Angels, Witches and Devils."
