Herod And The Birth Of Christmas: How Herod The Great Invented Christmas

Herodutus, who penned his play AD 51, was not a contemporary of Herod the Great. Herod however seems, even to this day, a man impossible to forget. References in Herodutus's work inspired a variety of archeological digs in Jerusalem and the Citadel of Herod the Great known as Herodium. Additionally, reviews into the circumstances of the Virgin Birth were immediately stimulated, by references found in Herodutus's play. Mary, far from being a closeted Nazarene girl, seems to have been an employee of Herod the great, albeit a disgruntled one. The stage play was painstakingly and faithfully recreated, as far as the extant copy allowed.
