It's A Great Life, 'If You Don't Weaken'

This is the life story of the Author, Edward John Evers. Edward was born in Sioux City, Iowa on October 14, 1932. His Father worked for the creamery there in Sioux City, Iowa across the Missouri River from South Sioux City. Ed's Father first worked as a box maker for delivering milk door to door and then as Foreman of the factory. The Evers Family was poor but, very happy. Edward's Mother Emma was born in Coleridge, Nebraska where her Father Heinrich Obermeyer had a small farm. Because Grandpa 'Henry" as he called himself grew corn, potatoes, and beans on the farm the Evers Family never went hungry even during the depression years. When Edward's Father passed on October 10, 1936 Edward's Uncle Alfred Obermeyer came to their rescue and helped the Family survive and eventually in 1938 drove the Family to California in his 1928 Chevrolet Touring Sedan to start their new adventures. Their lives were enriched when Leonard Edward Wingett appeared and changed the outcome of the little ragtag Evers Family. The Family moved several times and Edward's education was a struggle and it was hard for him to keep up with other students. Edward's escapades are funny, scary, weird and sometimes sad. An intelligent man once said, "There are two types of people, interesting and interested". Hopefully you find Edward's life story interesting.
