Moments to Remember: An Autobiography

WHY AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY?I was never fully aware of the life my parents lived as they grew up or the problems they encountered. Yes, I heard stories here and there, but never had a complete detailed picture of their trials and tribulations.I certainly learned many of the life lessons they taught, but not their complete story that affected my life and the lives of my siblings.Therefore, in an attempt to inform, maybe enlighten and to a degree entertain the younger generation, I decided to write my life's story. It has been a life of some successes, some failures, and lots of variety. If variety is the spice of life, I believe I've had my share. I hoe the bits of advice I offer will have a positive effect on the young people who read it, and perhaps aid them as good Christians, active and involved citizens and wholesome human beings.JOHN HELLER: John is the second of seven children which includes five sisters. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but grew up mostly in Michigan and Minnesota. He graduated from St. Thomas College in St Paul, MN and received his MA degree from the University of Northern Michigan. He began his career as a teacher and head football and track coach and spent three years operating his own business. He then joined Honeywell in 1968 and ended his career with Graco as a Senior Vice President.He and his wife of 61 years have lived in 25 homes, eight states and four countries. They have four children, 13 grandchildren and soon will have eight grand children. They now reside in The Woodlands, Texas during the winter and in Northern Wisconsin during the summer.
