Myaomo: One Man's Journey to the African Stone Age and Back

Exploring the mountainous caves of Suswa in Kenya, a paleontology student, Toby falls off a steep cliff, hits his head and drifts off in a coma. He wakes up in the Stone Age where he calls himself Myaomo. Here he encounters tribes of people, wild beasts and a woman, the Goatherd of Omo. He questions the inexplicable situation in which he finds himself. He instinctively realizes that he must find the Goatherd as she holds the secret for his survival and can explain who he is and what he is doing in the Stone Age. His search for the Goatherd takes him on a long journey through time. He travels beyond the caves of Omo, Bodo, Hadar and Konso Gardula in prehistoric times, through Kush to Pharaonic Egypt. His hopes brighten when he finds her after a long, arduous search. Before he can get answers to the questions that plague him, the soldiers of Octavia Caesar stationed in Egypt capture her. This time, he must follow her trail as the severe currents of history dictate. In Egypt, after fleeing Kush, he is approached by a swindler whose cordiality promises friendship that forces him into the throes of a powerful, vicious man who tracks his every move, a deadly foe that masks his appearance at will to manipulate and hold Myaomo in bondage in the desert kingdoms and beyond. In the hold of this notorious villain with an array of names, is also the object of Myaomo's long search, the Goatherd, now called Isetnefret. The two are held captive and transported as mere tributes to the kingdom of Abomey, gifts to be given away to Francisco Felixe de Souza, viceroy of Ouidah. Here, Myaomo finds the most despicable economic forces at play. The narrative concludes with Toby slowly waking up from his coma. He becomes aware that a lady, Lisa, has just walked into his hospital room. As Myaomo drifts slowly to full consciousness as Toby, he discerns a connection between the Goatherd, Isetnefret and Lisa, the object of his long, tortuous search across vast tracts of time in the scope of history. It is Lisa, the Goatherd of Omo, who led him on a search to find his own identity.
