Roderick's Purpose: A Scottish Victorian Romance

Roderick McDougall thought crossing the seas and becoming a law officer would fulfil the restlessness growing inside him. He was wrong. He now longs to return home to his beloved Highlands, but is too proud to admit to his father the error of his ways. Then one day he chases down a thief, and nothing will ever be the same again.

For years, Gwen Malone has followed her father's outlaw gang around the Prairies. It's the only life she's ever known, and yet she's filled with an unknown restlessness. When she is captured by a rugged Highlander, she finds she has to fight to keep him from capturing her heart as well.

When Roderick is assigned with the duty of returning Gwen and her father to Scotland, he wonders whether it will be the answer to all of his problems, or the beginning of an even bigger one. As they arrive in the Highlands, will their fiery attraction to one another lead to the love they never knew they needed, or will Gwen's past force them apart?
