The end of the Apartheid era was approaching. South Africa had to wrap up a war on the border with Angola. But there was the pressing issue of what to do with the nuclear warheads? These Weapons of Mass Destruction were a bargaining chip, and the heads of the military had different ideas of how and when to depose of them. The story starts with the Generals having a heated argument. They could generally agree on a covert operation that would be managed secretly, but in such a way that would not point fingers at them when the witch hunt by the new African government begins. However, one General had different ideas! The rest of the story shows how various players and agents are drawn into the plot, and how it played out on an exploration expedition to Antarctica. It involves a former military officer who ended up doing a boring security job when he made a stunning discovery. It was a time of political upheaval and great uncertainty. Through circumstances beyond his control, he became involved in an elaborate plot to finally bury leftovers of the nuclear bomb development project. Following open doors that presented an exciting journey to Antarctica, he inadvertently was drawn into the plot of getting rid of hot property that several nations had an interest in. He eventually did the unthinkable, and then did his best to hide the evidence, being unaware that he was a player in a much larger plot with several players desperate to serve their interests. What would he do? How will he react to a changing political landscape? Would he inadvertently serve the interest of a General that went rogue? And will he be caught, and perhaps even executed? How would he escape every turn of events that threatened his life? How would he also serve his own interests to escape in the end with some bargaining chips on his own, and regain a normal life elsewhere? This is the first edition of the Book with photos to add to the comprehension and drama. The expanded second edition is available on Amazon. Enjoy!
