Shadow from the Past: Remembrance

The final volume of the trilogy has a junior reporter on a local newspaper hoping to write his first real article. Robert Stirlaw sees Mr and Mrs Carstein in the lane where their daughter is killed and learns the murder of her daugther and James Parry in 1959 has not been solved. Meeting an ex-superintendent still investigating their murders he writes a story that the editor of his newspaper agrees to print. This story is published in national newspapers and the killer reading he was to be found out commits another murder of the ex-superintendent to ensure the past stays buried. However, a chance sighting of his get-away car leads the police to find out where he lives. But he has a prefect alibi and it's the police and Robert Stirlaw that are the one's punished. Will the killer get away with his perfect crime or can justice finally catch up with him?
