The Hawthorn Tree

THE RHYMER KING TRILOGY - VOLUME ONE - THE HAWTHORN TREE What if all those rhymes you were told as a child were real? What if they all lived in a world different to your own? And what if you were one of them and didn't even know it...and had to save them all? Terry is a teenage orphan, having lost both his parents and grandmother in two separate fires as he was growing up. But he discovers that these tragedies may be more than a coincidence when he too is caught in a blazing inferno - and finds himself magically transported into an astounding world in which old nursery rhymes have come to bizarre, breathtaking and often frightening life. Thrust into an amazing adventure within this wondrous land, the boy must face incredible dangers, riddles and challenges - all while trying to learn the truth about his own identity - and while experiencing the first, confusing pangs of teenage love. All leading him to a final confrontation that he could never have imagined - with the fate of the entire rhyming world riding on his shoulders. An epic fantasy set in a spectacular rhyming world for young-at-heart readers of all ages.
