The Devil in Belize: A Cat Ballentine Spy Thriller

A gripping, suspenseful thriller that will have your head spinning....When CIA officers Renny Rossi and Cat Ballentine are sent to the idyllic island of Ambergris Caye in Belize, it hardly seems like a challenging spy assignment. But things are heating up in nearby Guatemala and Mexico as drug traffickers, human traffickers, and gangbangers seek out new turf. Suddenly, the normally peaceful nation of Belize is put in jeopardy by criminal organizations with far more resources and armed thugs.

Out for a hike in the Crooked Tree Sanctuary with her two babies, Cat stumbles into the middle of a drug smuggling operation, only to discover a young Maya mother and her daughter fleeing from the vicious traffickers.

She and Renny decide to help these refugees from Guatemala, setting in motion a chain of events that include the murder of an undercover Belizean police officer, the shooting of another, and the kidnapping of the 9-year-old Maya girl. Why are the Maya being targeted? What does it have to do with the new discoveries of Maya ruins in Guatemala, Belize, and Mexico?

As the bodies begin to pile up, the secrets, betrayals, and intrigue lead Cat and Renny deep into the jungle on the hunt for a desperate young woman who can bring down a powerful Mexican cartel.
