Jane is one of the few and far-between lady gunslingers in the old west. She made a name for herself - and made some enemies - as a bounty hunter, but those days are behind her. Now, she drifts from town to town typically working as a field guide and hired gun for less apt travelers and those seeking a little frontier escapde. She is hired by a bored rancher's daughter on her way to the city to become a seamstress. Alma is accustomed to helping her father drive cattle, so she knows her way around a horse and a gun. She longs for excitement, and she thinks the city will have it. She suspects the surly woman has some stories to tell, and wants good company for her journey.Alma finds herself intrigued by Jane a bit more than she'd anticipated. Jane also cannot get Alma off of her mind, jeopardizing their business arrangement. Matters are further complicated when someone from Jane's past rears his head, and the two are also joined by a wayward, mysterious man named Peter, interested in hiring Jane. The three of them blunder into a good, old fashioned wild west adventure, wrought with danger, shootouts, and show downs. Alma finds a bit more excitement than she bargained for and also finds love along the way. But will anyone survive to tell the tale?
